Founded in Australia in 2008, WhistleOut is an independent comparison platform built on a simple belief: It shouldn't take a genius to find a great cell phone or internet plan. The telecom industry typically doesn’t help you comparison shop. Pricing is buried, conditions are complicated, and the best deal for one person is often the wrong deal for another. WhistleOut exists to fix that by putting clear, accurate, up-to-date information in one place for you to find and use.

After establishing ourselves in Australia, we brought WhistleOut to the U.S. and today help thousands of Americans each month compare cell phone plans, home internet services, and the latest devices.

Our Mission

We exist to empower consumers to confidently connect with the best service providers available. Our editorial team operates independently, and carriers can’t pay us to write favorably about them or steer readers toward any particular provider. WhistleOut is not owned by any of the carriers or providers you see listed on our site. Every plan comparison reflects current, publicly available pricing and our own editorial judgment.

What we promise to never do: accept payment in exchange for positive coverage, suppress a negative finding because an advertiser asked us to, or recommend a plan we haven't independently verified.

How We Work

Accurate data is the foundation of everything we do. Our dedicated auditing team checks every plan and product in our database against live pricing on each provider's website—not just when a plan launches, but continuously. We currently maintain over 1,400 plan combinations and make approximately 400 database updates each month to keep pace with a constantly changing market.

Right now, we actively maintain the offerings of 39 cell phone carriers and 48 internet service providers. While we don't track every provider in the market, we cover as many as possible without compromising the rigor of that auditing process. When a provider appears in our search results, you can trust that its pricing has been checked against what's actually on its website today.

WhistleOut's editorial team includes experienced writers, editors, and researchers who specialize in the world of mobile and internet service. Our team monitors carrier announcements and industry developments daily so that our coverage reflects what's actually happening in the market.

Editorial Independence

WhistleOut is completely free for consumers to use. We sustain the platform commercially through referral partnerships: When you click a "View Plan" link and transfer to a provider's website, call a listed phone number, or click a sponsored placement, we may receive a fee. In some cases, we receive a commission if you purchase a plan.

If a provider does have a commercial relationship with us, we may display additional listings from them beyond their single best result, and we are transparent about sponsored placements when they appear.
