Global Calling plan rates

For $5/month, Verizon's Global Calling plan allows you to call over 220 countries at a discounted rate. For example, instead of paying the normal $1.99/minute rate to Spain, you pay just $0.07/minute for calls to landlines or $0.32/minute for calls to mobile numbers.

Global Calling Plus plan rates

With the Global Calling Plus plan ($15/month), you get unlimited minutes for calls to landlines in over 60 countries or mobile numbers in over 30 countries. To stick with the Spain example, the country happens to be one of the destinations you can call with your Global Calling Plus unlimited minutes to both landline and mobile numbers. If your unlimited minutes do not cover a country you wish to call, you still pay the Global Calling discounted rate (if applicable).

Global Choice plan rates

At $10/month, the Global Choice international plan offers up to 300 minutes to use for calls to one country of your choice. Depending on which country you choose of the more than 220 options, you get a set number of minutes. If you select Spain, you get the full 300 minutes—but if you select Japan, you get only 180 minutes. But it’s not the end of the world if you go over your allotted minutes, as Verizon charges a discounted per-minute rate.

The simplest way to add an international plan to your Verizon line is to visit Verizon's International Plans page and select Add a plan. Sign in, and follow the prompts to choose your international plan.

You can also sign into the My Verizon app and navigate to Manage plan. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap on International plans. On the following page select Add new plan, and follow the incoming prompts to select and activate your new Verizon international plan.
